Thanks for visiting my website!
I'm a proud descendant of the original Florida Pioneers. People who fought heat, bugs, reptiles, storms and most of all isolation, just to call this place home. Time has passed. Our air is conditioned to suit our comfort. We've found ways to deal with bugs and are now fans of Gators or Seminoles (never both). Severe storms come to us with advanced warning and isolation is a commodity. But there is still a common appreciation that goes deep and ties us to those brave souls as much as their blood running in our veins. That is the love of God and Nature. His gift to us from the start. It's through these eyes my photos come. You'll rarely find man made distractions. This is the Florida I want to show you!
There is a wonderful peace that come in our subtle but profound change of seasons. Their timely rhythm as comforting as the sound of our own Mother's heartbeat must have once been to us.
To paddle down the Suwannee River makes one feel like royalty. The cool breeze and current escort you down it's magnificent oak lined aisle. Springs that feed into this great river, as well as others found in our state, are like none other in the world. So clear that they cause those even in their right mind to jump right in with whatever they have on. When you come up, the sun quickly wraps it's warm arms around you like someone who cares.
You will also find photos from other states that my husband and I were blessed to visit. Sights that were so breathtaking that I had to wipe tears away to be able to see through my camera's viewfinder. I encourage all to see them for yourselves one day.
God has indeed poured blessings on our state and nation. Through nature we are shown His very heart. I truly believe that when we step away from these gifts we then lose a part of our own heart. These sights in our country should be celebrated and maintained. We instead are finding these sacred legacies lost in worldly distractions. I hope that in some way my photography brings Peace, if only for a moment. I pray that they give back what has been taken and restore that rich appreciation for GOD and His creation bequeathed to us so long ago.
